This class will discuss how an IMT would assemble in an emergency to keep your business humming without an interruption. The concept would focus on maintaining business continuity when your company is subjected to unforeseen circumstances.

At the onset of team formation they would assemble to evaluate and perform a Risk & Vulnerability Assessment that would take into account those entities that they do business with and what keeps them functioning well. The designations and functions of the team and its subsections would be defined. A pre-plan of actions and evaluations of resources needed would be established to make the plan work. What would also be established in the plan is their interaction with outside business, agencies and the like that will allow them to interact with a world that has geared up to understand and confluence with the INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM concepts. Major players in Business, Government, Military and Utility corporations have or are in the process of adapting the concepts of INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM so that we can all work together with least interruption of our everyday business and lives.

Incident Management Training for Private Industry.

Today it is essential that Private Industry understand the Incident Management System so that the Private Sector can plan for the mitigation of business loss, interruption, and recovery and also reduce the economic impact to the community in cooperation with local public resources. This training will explain the fundamentals of the Incident Command System, how it is structured, and how your Business can develop an internal Crisis Management Team to work in cooperation with the public sector and utilize public resources when a Critical Incident occurs.

A Critical Incident may be thought of as loss or business interruption from extreme weather, earthquakes, floods, power outage, and fires, criminal or terrorist acts. In fact a critical incident is any event or situation that threatens people and/or their homes, businesses, or community and requires swift, decisive action outside of the normal course of routine business activities.
